Get Involved and Give Back
Mercy Medical Ministry could not exist without the support of the community. We are so grateful for the donations from churches, civic organizations, and individuals. As a result, we can serve the medical needs of patients in Lee County and the surrounding area. We can only provide the services we offer because of the generosity of our community.

Ways to Get Involved
"I would encourage others to volunteer here because I think these patients are so appreciative of the care they receive which is really refreshing. "
Medical Provider
At Mercy Medical, we extend a warm invitation to healthcare professionals to join our dedicated team of volunteers. Whether you're a specialist, retired provider, or offer unique services not currently available at our clinic, we welcome you with open arms. Let's explore how we can collaborate to enhance the care and services we provide to our community.
We offer various scheduling options tailored to your availability and preferences. Whether you can spare a few hours once a month or prefer a more regular commitment, we'll work closely with you to find a schedule that suits your needs. Our clinic operates in shifts from 8 am to 12 am and 1 am to 5 am, ensuring consistent care for our patients. Additionally, we provide malpractice insurance coverage while you're volunteering at the clinic, ensuring peace of mind for you as you provide essential care to those in need.

Student Volunteer
At Mercy Medical, our student volunteers play a crucial role in patient care, serving as the initial point of contact for our visitors. We prioritize qualities of patience and a genuine desire to support individuals from diverse backgrounds in our student volunteers. While many of our student volunteers are pursuing pre-health tracks, we welcome applicants from all majors to benefit from the enriching experience of our dynamic clinical environment.
Given our significant Spanish-speaking community, fluency in Spanish is highly valued, although not mandatory. Responsibilities for student volunteers encompass a wide range of tasks, from administrative and clerical duties to assisting with clinical patient care. We request a commitment of one to two four-hour shifts per week from our volunteers, emphasizing the importance of reliability and professionalism.

Spiritual Encourager
Our volunteer spiritual encouragers have the opportunity to show the love of Jesus and share the gospel with willing patients.
Every new encourager is given the opportunity to go alongside more experienced encouragers until he or she feels comfortable sharing alone.
Training and training tools are also available for the encouragers to utilize as needed. Each applicant is screened carefully to ensure he or she is adequately prepared to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
